Offline Transcription is built so that your recordings stay yours. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your data.

The app collects nothing #

We do not collect, store, or have access to any personal information from the app. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to.

Your recordings never leave your device #

The audio and video files you transcribe are read and processed entirely on your device. They are never uploaded. The transcripts the app produces are never uploaded either. Neither we nor anyone else can see them.

The app may ask for permission to open a file or a folder. That is only so it can read the recordings you pick and save transcripts where you tell it to. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Your app settings are stored on your device only.

Purchases are handled by Apple #

If you buy Offline Transcription Pro, Apple processes the payment. We never see your name, your payment details, or your address.

Apple gives us anonymous sales reports — how many purchases were made in each country, for example. These cannot identify you.

This website #

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It records things like your approximate location, your browser, and which pages you visited. It does not know who you are, and it has no connection to the app or to anything you transcribe.

If you would rather not be counted, most browsers can block analytics scripts, and Google offers an opt-out add-on.

Children #

The app is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, at any age.

Changes to this policy #

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
